About the Project
A family-owned, independent developer needed help evaluating the viability of two new restaurant concepts and managing the process of bringing them to their Bell Mar mixed-use shopping center. That’s when they turned to Patton Asset Management to help create pro-forma financial statements and budgets for both restaurants, while managing all pre- and post-opening operations. This included design, development, and purchasing of all furniture, fixtures, and equipment; creating pay structures and HR handbooks; hiring management staff; and developing sales and marketing strategies for each restaurant. With our help, both restaurants not only survived the recession, but are still thriving today.
About the Property
Bell Mar Plaza is a neighborhood center in Surprise, Arizona, that features popular restaurants, boutiques, retail shops, and offices amid bold architecture. The plaza opened in 2009 to showcase several local entrepreneurs and retail merchants in its unique setting. Bell Mar also includes the Barnaby Street Shoppes, a retail incubator program designed to help small businesses start in a retail storefront and grow into their own space.
