About Ronald Day
Ronald Day has spent the majority of his professional life leading top-tier luxury hotel and resort properties in the U.S. and Caribbean.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel & Restaurant Administration from Florida State University, Day began his hospitality career with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, where he managed several operational departments within the Rooms and F&B divisions at three properties. He later joined the opening team of the AAA Five-Diamond Scottsdale Princess Resort as Director of Restaurants, followed by a tenure as Director of Banquets.
After growing the Princess into one of the most prominent resorts in Arizona, Day moved on to serve in General Manager capacities for Adam’s Mark Hotels in Alabama, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina, as well as LXR Luxury Resorts properties in Puerto Rico and Florida. His expertise helped these properties successfully navigate through brand transitions, new construction, sale negotiations, and more.
Day then joined Hilton Hotels & Resorts to lead The Saratoga Hilton through the re-branding process, followed by successfully converting the Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa in Jamaica into a true all-inclusive resort. His contributions enhanced each property’s image and market share, while elevating top-line income and EBITDA to new heights.
Day was then promoted by ownership to Complex General Manager overseeing two Waldorf Astoria-branded resorts in Key West, where he ensured optimal operational and service levels as well as profitability were achieved for these AAA Four-Diamond properties.
Most recently, Day founded Kellum Hospitality Advisors (KHA). In his role as Managing Principal, he assists hotels and other hospitality organizations with vision creation, brand selection, feasibility validation, and F&B concept development.
As a strategic partner with Patton Asset, Day now offers our clients creative ideas for repositioning existing projects to enhance their relevancy and improve their financial performance, while guiding new projects to results that become industry benchmarks.
